*On January 14, 1978, Mr. Morarji Desai and his finance minister Mr. H.M. Patel did demonetization of Rs 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 notes.
*The highest currency note in circulation during Mrs.Indira Gandhi’s tenure (1980-1984) : Rs 100 (Rs.500, Rs.1000)
*In 2001, the Vajpayee government re-introduced the Rs 1,000 note
*On November 08, 2016, Mr. Modi and his finance minister Mr. Arun Jaitley did demonetization of Rs.500 & Rs.1000 introduced new Rs.500 & Rs.2000 . 



Our 71st Independence Day Speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was full of lies and misleading truths. This is a very disappointing set of events to make Demonetisation look to be a good move.
