The Jiribam-Imphal Railway project is one of challenges of Indian Railways. The project is located in the state of Manipur, India. Foundation stone for the project was laid at Jiribam Railway Station in 2005. The project is hindered by frequent blockades, prolong economic blockades, disturbances etc. by ethnic organizations and many terrorist/militant organization operating in the region.
